We’d like to wish our Scientific Committee member, Professor Lesley Regan, a huge Genesis Research Trust congratulations. Today, Lesley has been named President of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, she’ll be the first female president in 64 years.
Lesley was the Vice-President of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists and Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at St Mary’s Hospital, London where she also runs the Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic, the largest referral centre for couples with early and late pregnancy loss in Europe.
In addition to the 1000 new referrals that attend the clinic every year, her multidisciplinary team provides antenatal care for many more couples in their next pregnancy. By linking research to clinical practice, this team has dramatically improved the outcome of pregnancy for many women with recurrent miscarriage. In her spare time Lesley enjoys writing about reproductive issues for the lay people and has published two successful books on miscarriage and pregnancy.
We’re extremely proud to have Lesley on our scientific committee and wish her all the best with her new role.
