Dr Sana Usman is currently taking time out of training in O&G to pursue a higher degree on intrapartum ultrasound prediction models within Imperial College, London. She is collaborating with Trondheim (Norway), Leuven (Belgium) and other prominent academics in this area to develop research in intrapartum ultrasound to improve labour ward management. Her academic interest lies in obstetrics, in particular maternal and fetal medicine. She also shares a passion for the medicopolitical and pastoral role within the RCOG and the London Deanery. She completed an O&G BSc in 2005 and a medical degree at Imperial College in 2007, London. She then went on to take up an O&G training post in the North West Thames London Deanery and is now a Specialist Registrar in the region.
