Kerry Lloyd – Cycle Cuba 2017

In October 2017, I am going to be taking part in the 225km cycle ride across Cuba, to raise funds for the Genesis Research Trust. The trust funds research in, amongst lots of other related causes, IVF, stillbirth, miscarriage, some female cancers etc.

I chose this charity as two of my Nephews were born with the help of IVF treatment. It was a long and gruelling process with many disappointments. As a family we all shared in the anticipation and then the grief when sadly the treatment failed. Eventually we have two wonderful little boys who enrich all our lives, and we are blessed to have.

Without the vital research carried out by Genesis we may not have our little treasures and I want to put something back to help other families.

I am not a keen cyclist, or a keen anything to do with exercise, but I have joined a women’s bootcamp class with 3 sessions a week, and my Dad has made a rusty old bike, that was in the garden, road worthy. So I am working hard to achieve the fitness levels necessary for a 225 km ride across what has been described as undulating terrain!!!!!

I need to raise £3350 to take part, so here is where I ask for your help. Any money you may wish to donate to the cause using this page can be gift aided to ensure all money goes to the charity.
Finally may I say in advance, a massive thank you for any donations I receive, it really is greatly appreciated.
