Cycle Burma 5-15 November 2016

The devastation of losing babies as a result of prematurity or recurrent miscarriages is very close to my heart. My husband and I lost 3 gorgeous babies, a little boy and two girls in the early 90’s.Denise Sedgwick profile Fortunately we are also extremely lucky and proud to have two lovely grown-up daughters who are a sheer delight to us.

It is surprising the number of couples who experience loss through premature births, miscarriages  or still births. I think that unless you go through this yourself it is all too easy to lack awareness of how common these problems are. It seems to be a secret world that, unless you unfortunately become part of it, it is all too easy to be oblivious to it.

I hope that by taking on the cycling challenge in Burma, I can raise money to help Genesis Trust Research.  I also hope to improve my fitness and look forward to seeing a secretive part of the world.  Now to get training…

      For those who support me and have a baby or babies in mind I intend to wear a T-shirt with the names of the babies on
      – so Matthew and Isaac will be there
