Deborah Paxford – Cycle Cuba 2017

On October 6th this year, I will be setting off to cycle approximately 370km around Cuba to raise money for the Genesis Research Trust.

The Trust is a charity based at Imperial College London chaired by Lord Robert Winston and its primary aim is to improve the health of unborn babies and their mothers. It raises money for research into the causes and cures for conditions that affect the health of women and babies, such as recurrent miscarriage, still birth and female cancers.

Fundraising is crucial to enable the charity to continue its life-saving research work helping to save the lives of women and babies and give more people the opportunity to have a healthy family.

I am excited and daunted to take part in the challenge.  I am not a sporty person and have never done much exercise apart from cycling to work but I am keen to get fit and make sure I complete the challenge.

So please help me to raise the £3350 needed to take part.  All money you donate using this page will go to the charity.

Please gift aid your donation if possible, so that the Trust can reclaim the tax and make the most of the sponsorship funds.

Thank you so much for your donation- it is going to a great cause.

How wonderful Deb – am very excited for you – and a great choice to support research for those little helpless beings and their mothers on the challenging journey into life. Sending you loads of love as your training schedule kicks off this week!! XX

Deborah, you are very brave especially as the last time I saw you on a bike was 40 years ago when we were at school – do you still need stabilisers? Seriously, very proud. Xxxxx
